Since 2002, Matahari Women Workers Center has developed the leadership of hundreds of members, won back $200,000 in stolen wages for workers in our base, and redistributed $1,000,000 in emergency funds and mutual aid support to approximately 15,000 workers through the Matahari Care Fund and Mass Undocufund. We are grateful to each and every donor for helping us change the lives of working women of color.
Matahari is funded solely by private donations from individuals, corporations, foundation grants and special events. The following donors made generous contributions between September 1, 2021 and August 31, 2022. Although every gift is important, due to space limitations, only gifts from foundations are listed.
